Well, starting a Blog huh?

So I had all these big ideas for this blog. And in true Melani style of course that meant lists, many lists! But I am kinda thinking I should just roll with it and post whatever I am thinking about each day and work on the structure as I go. If I wait to get it perfect before I do anything I might never actually follow through here. So, today I am just gonna fill you in on the things in my world today:
WORK AND SNOW!
Let me elaborate. Mark was off yesterday, today, and will be off tomorrow. I am not. I am working. I hate working when he is not. I like to know he is suffering at work with me, not enjoying the world outside the walls of AEXP-PHX (which is American Express Phoenix, for all you non-amex employees, which I am aware is like every person who might ever follow this blog, but whatev). This week however I am here working solo. And to top it off, it has been trying to snow all day all over the valley! Snow in Phoenix! This happens like never, and while Mark was taking Maddi and Rox outside to see it I was sitting at a computer missing it. Dang!

Another thought just occurred to me...should I write like I talk or should I write all proper like? I know my favorite teacher EVER, Sophomore English teacher at NMCHS would be ashamed at some of this, but what is the right way to blog I ask you? When I was being enlightened daily by good ol' Mr. R blogs were not a thing anyone talked about. So I did not learn the proper writing format for a blog? Does one exist? I like to think that my unique way of speaking, part valley girl, part smarty pants, part blonde dummy, part who knows what, is endearing and entertaining for the listeners. But would this translate to readers? Or am I wrong in the entertainment factor for listeners and thus readers as well?

This has brought a whole new issue to light again; Do I ramble? Do I make any sense? Is blogging about my thoughts a good idea? I am thinking not. I am now thinking I should just get back to my many lists and decide on a structure for this blog. I also need to decide on a name. I have no name yet. Hummm....I am just gonna go think about a name and let all those other things rest for a bit.

And I will end on this note, I think I have become the resident Family Expert on Animals!!!!! I am so so freaking excited about this!! I think it is what I am meant to be. LOL. When I get of work in 16 minutes I am going straight to the Rents house (that is translated to Parents) to help give Fruity his medicine. I hope I can live up to my newly self applied title and show some skilz in forcing dogies to take the medicine that will make their little broken leg not hurt so much. Wish me luck.

I would like to thank The Academy

Ok, no, not really, but there are many people I would like to thank. After this Christmas I am just feeling so blessed. As Maddi is the only baby in the family I think everyone loves the fun of shopping for her, and judging by past events, I kinda knew Maddi would be a big winner as far as gifts go for Christmas. What I didn't expect was the amount of winnings that would come MY way!!!!!! I am so humbled by the fact so many people thought of me and showed their love with presents for me!! I know thank you cards are not normally given for Christmas, usually reserved for birthdays for kids, baby/bridal showers and weddings, but I decided an exception was needed. So I am writing out thank you cards to the Fam who made my 2010 Christmas so great!! I found cards I thought were kinda Christmas-y but then now, perfect for an after Christmas thank you. My friend Josefina doesn't see anything Christmas in them, but I am holding to the fact they look like happy bright snowflakes. Anywho, Thank you to my amazing family for an amazing Christmas.
